BIOGRAPHY
Recruited at University by Barclays Bank in 2001, Hugo worked in London, Lisbon, Dubai, Geneva and South Africa as Managing Director and Market Head of Europe and Africa at Standard Chartered following more than a decade with Barclays Bank and Bank Julius Baer. Before joining MCA, Hugo was Senior Managing Partner at Decisive Capital Management – a Private Equity Smart Capital New Generation Family Office – based in Geneva. He started as an external advisor to MCA Board in 2018 assisting in transactions of Corporate Banking, Leveraged Finance & Export Credit Finance on sectors like Renewable Energies, Urban Development and Infrastructure. In 2021 he became an Executive Member of the Board and COO of Urban Development being currently based in Madrid. He has a master’s degree in Economy & International Relations and in 2009 he graduated from Columbia Business School, New York, Executive Leadership & Management Program.
