BIOGRAPHY

With her extraordinary talent and captivating performances, Hila Fahima captivates audiences around the world. Born into a musical family, Fahima’s passion for singing developed at an early age, and she embarked on a journey that would lead her to become one of the most celebrated opera singers of her generation.

Hila Fahima began her career at the young artist program of the Israeli Opera, she is a former ensemble member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Between 2013 and 2020, Hila Fahima was an ensemble member at the Vienna State Opera, where she appeared as Gilda in Rigoletto, Princesse Eudoxie in La Juive, Zerbinetta / Ariadne auf Naxos and Queen of the Night / Die Zauberflöte.
Hila Fahima won the first prize at the European Vocal Competition DEBUT 2010, the first prize at the “Stella Maris” 2013 Singing Competition, and the second prize at the International Singing Competition of Toulouse.

Highlights of the 2023-24 season include her return to the Deutsche Oper Berlin and New Israeli Opera as Lucia di Lammermoor and Gilda in Rigoletto, as well as her house debut at the Staatsoper Hamburg as Lucia di Lammermoor and as Oscar/Un ballo in maschera at the Oper Köln.

Her early engagements include her appearance as Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte and Zerbinetta at the Berlin State Opera and at the Waldbühne in Berlin, at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and at the Vienna State Opera. She made her debut at the BBC Proms as Ein junger Hirt in a concert performance of Tannhäuser with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Other highlights include the role of Giunia in the premiere of Lucio Silla at the Theater Basel, Fauré’s “Requiem” with the L’Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France and a tour with Les Arts Florissants with the role of Dalinda in Ariodante.
